Technal have also installed a removable fly screen into the frame. For additional design flexibility, the system is available in 150 colours and several finishes: anodised or powder-coated, satin or gloss. Cyclone resistant. The "Jalousie" has exceptional weatherproof features. Tested under the most rigorous conditions, it has obtained the following performance ratings:

This outstanding performance is achieved with the use of a marine quality neoprene gasket on each louvre, reinforced by soecial broom gaskets fixed to the 2 vertical jambs of the fixed frame. The fixed frame is machined
for water drainage and assembled using only stainless steel screws to avoid any corrosion problems.

R E S I S T A N C E   T O   B R E A K - I N S
The Technal "Jalousie" has undergone the most rigorous tests for breaking and entering and offers excellent security. With a rigid framework and 6mm thick glass louvres, the "Jalousie" can be reinforced by the insertion of an aluminium rod. It is thanks to this rigidity that it can be used as a bottom fixed light. Furthermore, even when the louvers are fully opened, they remain within the width of the subframe thus avoiding any risk of injury.

The Louvers can be opened easily up to an angle of 80 degrees using either a lever or a handle. The louvers open simultaneously and symmetrically due to a patented link connection rod system. The Technal "Jalousie" with large size glass louvers is equipped with a patented electric mechanism and the articulating inserts, made of a composite material, enable the louvers to move in complete silence.
